Interesting. I'm not sure about it either partly because like Ben says it's not the magazine I wanted. But also because it's very exclusive, and I get the general feeling that I'm not the sort of reader it wants.

Monocle may turn out to be one of the great unread magazines of our time.
Monocle doesn't have the verbal/visual wit nor the fetish object appeal of early Wallpaper*.
Maybe if if I was an Armani-ed businessman on a transatlantic flight it might hold some appeal. As it is I get tired just looking at it.
What magazine did YOU want?
That article is isn't the first recommendation for the Economist I've heard recently, I must investigate further.

Flip Flop Flyin's personal pies is rather wonderful - although I'm not sure if we needed to know that his debut performance was "looking at a picture of Madonna in Smash Hits". As an aside Anne it's nice to see you back - very nice indeed.
